July 15th
July 15th we said our good-byes to Auckland before boarding the Overlander for our 12 hour train trip down to Wellington. On our way down to Wellington we saw beautiful sights of native New Zealand bush, went over viaducts, went through tunnels, and at one point we even climbed a mountain. We took a half hour stop at one point through our journey in the National Park where the Lord of the Rings trilogy was filmed and I can say that Mordor has some of the best chicken, bacon, cheese sandwiches I have ever tasted.

Our first and only day in Wellington was not exactly as we had planned it. The hotel was good and the bed was super comfy but I woke up in the morning and had vertigo so badly I couldn't stand up without feeling horribly ill and falling back down again. I had no balance what so ever and spent the whole day in bed with the room spinning every time I so much as turned my head.

The ferry ride was our main adventure on the 17th of July. I'll post a picture of the route our ferry took but I can tell you right now it was amazing and the ocean was a beautiful blue color and the hills were bright green. We went up top to take some pictures and video but didn't stay long as it was quite cold up there on the observation deck.
I can only get pictures up for now, but my videos I'll get uploaded to photobucket and I'll link them so everyone can see!
